Stop-fatigue mats: ergonomic solutions for Maviflex production

Thanks to a joint initiative by the Health/Safety/Environment and Methods departments, our company has taken a new step forward in terms of well-being at work.

After several months’ work, anti-fatigue mats have been installed to improve the working conditions of our operators, who are often required to stand for long hours.

Why anti-fatigue mats?

Listening to our teams and keen to offer an ever more efficient and pleasant working environment, we decided to adopt an innovative solution: anti-fatigue mats. Inspired by the positive results obtained in other companies, we decided to equip our workstations with this ergonomic equipment.

What are the benefits for our teams?

• Reduced fatigue: Anti-fatigue mats help to absorb shock and reduce pressure on the feet, legs and lower back.
• Improved blood circulation: By encouraging gentle movement, the mats stimulate blood circulation and reduce the risk of venous disorders.
• Increased comfort: A more comfortable working environment helps to improve team motivation and productivity.

How far have we got?

The mats have been installed in three strategic production areas: the Fabrics section, the Electrical Room (where the mats also provide insulation), and the new sheet-metal working line.

A total of 20 mats were deployed, including 17 anti-fatigue mats and 3 insulating mats.

Our teams’ opinion:

Feedback on the anti-fatigue mats has been extremely positive. The Toiles et Electriques teams report a significant improvement in their comfort at work, particularly when standing for long periods:

• Reduced fatigue: The majority of users report a significant reduction in fatigue in the legs and feet, even after several hours’ work.
• Pain relief: Heel and foot pain, which used to be common, tends to diminish or even disappear with the use of mats.
• Increased comfort: The mats are considered to be pleasant and comfortable, distributing pressure evenly across the soles of the feet.
• Proven effectiveness: Employees noted a real difference between areas fitted with anti-fatigue mats and those without, confirming the effectiveness of these products.

And what about tomorrow?

Our aim is to gradually equip all new production lines with anti-fatigue mats to ensure optimum comfort for all our operators.
